Virginians for Safe Reproductive Policy
Advancing protections for Virginia women’s reproductive health and safety through grassroots advocacy, policy, and education.
Current State (option 1)
Current abortion laws in Virginia are already very broad and accessible to women and minors through pregnancy which include important requirements for medical standards of care.
The Problem
The proposed Unlimited Abortion Amendment:
- protects Predators, Pedophiles, and Perverts, instead of Pregnant Women
- prevents prosecution of anyone involved in an abortion, including those who are unqualified and unlicensed
- vague language opens up path to unlimited abortion up to birth
- removes Virginia's sensible parental notice law that protects minors
The Solution
Vote 'NO' on the Unlimited Abortion Amendment on November 3rd.
This amendment places women's safety in jeopardy because it removes requirements for important medical standards of care including that only licensed doctors provide abortion services.
Medical Safety Matters (option 2)
Current abortion laws in Virginia are already very broad and accessible to women and minors through pregancy and include important requirements for meidcal standards of care.
