Virginia Law is Already Heading in the Right Direction to Protect Maternal Health
Virginia has already taken the steps to create and ensure sensible safe reproductive laws. The following bills are part of a bi-partisan effort to help move Virginia forward maternal health advancements. These are just a few that have already been passed and those on the docket for 2026.
2025 Legislation:
In 2025, multiple bills were passed that expanded Maternal Health care and services that are available to pregnant women and post-partum women as well. This effort is ongoing in the legislature and public programs.
